An employee wants Friday off. Another needs a payslip. A new hire is waiting for system access. Someone else has moved house and needs to update their details. None of them really wants to “use Workday.” They want the request resolved.

Effective place of work collaboration relies on genuinely replacing messages. Modern businesses want communication systems that help personnel share facts securely, coordinate projects, have conversations, and get access to vital archives except dropping manage over enterprise data. As groups turn out to be more dispersed and agencies cope with more and more sensitive information, impenetrable communication has come to be an essential part of day-to-day operations.

Deploying artificial intelligence in a legacy corporate environment requires constant, real-time coordination across entirely different technical departments. When organizations force brilliant data scientists to communicate through outdated email threads, the entire machine learning pipeline grinds to a devastating halt. The harder companies fight to maintain siloed update methods, the faster their high-profile AI initiatives sink into operational quicksand.

AI is changing what entire organizations can accomplish. As it moves beyond individual productivity to orchestrating entire workflows, the value of software outgrows what seat count alone can capture. Atlassian customers are already realizing tangible business value from AI and automations, from reporting processes that run up to 40x faster with agents to saving 400 hours per month with automations.

Summer’s winding down, but the pace inside Slack isn’t. While people are squeezing in one last hurrah, our teams have been shipping – and this month’s drop is one of the biggest yet. The theme running through all of it: AI shouldn’t be something you do alone in a tab. Work is better when the people and the agents helping you are in the same room, with the same context, able to see what’s happening and jump in when it matters.

Every AI assistant or automation connected to a messaging platform needs a way to act on your behalf: sending a message, managing a channel, pulling context from a conversation. Rocket.Chat 8.8 gives agents a standard way to do that with a native MCP server, so any MCP-compatible agent can work inside your workspace without your team building and maintaining a custom integration for it. This release also brings tighter security and more reliable calling.

The G2 Fall Employee Intranet Report ranks intranet platforms based on verified user reviews and market data. It evaluates customer satisfaction and market presence to help you choose the best provider, prioritizing successful deployment and implementation.

Hybrid teams run into a documentation problem that purely remote teams rarely face: meetings happen in two places at once. Some people are in the conference room. Others are on a screen. The person taking notes is trying to capture what the room is saying while also following what's being said on the call. Something always gets missed.

Every new hire runs the same quiet experiment, whether they mean to or not. They compare what they were told during the interview to what they’re actually experiencing during the first weeks, and they draw conclusions long before anyone asks for their feedback.
